Shermila Paulraj MSc OT
Paediatric Occupational Therapist for over 20 years. In my career as a paediatric Occupational Therapist, I always worked in partnership with children and young people, engaging them in their functional participation and provide intervention using highly specialist clinical judgement, incorporating best evidence-based practice ensuring that the children and young people I work with are involved at each step and are well informed.
My career so far in Occupational Therapy has been interesting and rewarding. I have led teams in both Special Schools and NHS . I always integrate and incorporate attachment aware and trauma informed practices into every aspect of my work, ensuring that each child's unique story, relationships, and emotional world are honoured. My approach is rooted in empathy, evidence, and a deep commitment to helping children feel safe, understood and supported in their journey.
